WHAT IS LiDAR AND WHY SHOULD YOU USE LiDAR ?

LiDAR stands for Light Distance And Ranging and is a technology for rapidly measuring positions of physical objects.
We use drone based LiDAR to collect accurate data and produce a point cloud. From the point cloud we can generate different types of terrain and surface models . The most common models are: Digital Surface Model (DSM), Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and Triangulated Irregular Network (TIN) model.
