Avinor wanted to evaluate if drones could be used to automatically detect abnormalities with the fence and perimeter around airports in Norway. Together with Basefarm, we decided to give it a go, and Senseloop went up North with a plan and a selection of sensors to test. In spectacular weather, geodata was collected with different sensors from different angles, heights and velocities. The data is undergoing analysis at Basefarms AI lab, and results will eventually give a conclusion.
Our 4G controlled drone was especially useful to inspect landing lights on the other side of the fjord. Tasks like this usually includes two people, a boat and a few hours of work.
